Dear 2019-2020 PGMS families, I am very sorry to inform you that there has been a mishap on lockers and the contents. A few weeks ago, we discovered that both 5th and 6th lockers had been cleared out and the contents were removed from campus. As with everything else that happens, we watched video and found a night-time employee of our contracted cleaning company emptying them all out and removing the contents from the building. We immediately contacted the company and they began efforts to retrieve all contents. Unfortunately, it has come to no avail. The night-time janitor took it upon herself to do this. She is no longer employed by the company and has not returned efforts to contact her. I understand the frustration that this can cause, as I too lost “stuff” in my son’s locker. Any family, who chooses, can come to the PGMS office and write a statement to the police department concerning contents of their locker, if they would want to proceed any further. Apologetically, Shayne Taylor PGMS Principal

** The supply list for 5th and 6th graders for the upcoming year will be: paper, pencils, binder/zip up binder(something to keep up with things) and earbuds. Hopefully, you already have most of these items. If we see a need for other minimal supplies, we may send that out at a later date. Our goal is to minimize your need to spend money at this time. Art may have a small list of supplies needed for class sent at a later date. If you are not able to get this, we will try our best to accommodate you. Go Tigers!

We will be taking grades for the 4th nine weeks. However, it will be based on mastery of skills. This means that your student will be allowed to retake it if they fail an assignment. Students need to give their best effort to show mastery of the skills teachers assign. This is uncharted water for all of us, yet we are tasked with continuing our school year through digital learning. Work with your teachers more closely than ever before. You can email them and they will respond. We want you to succeed. Check your email and Google Classroom daily. I know it feels like school is out, but it is not. There is no reason to stress about the work, you can do it and we are here to help you. We will get through this together. Email or call Mr. Taylor with any questions or concerns.

If you are having trouble with the Chromebook staying connected to your WiFi, this is from tech. Reconnect it and it should update a new setting to override the auto connect.
