Dear parents/guardians,
In preparation for your child's high school arena scheduling, you are invited to attend an AP/Honors Parent Information Night on Wednesday, May 18th in the HS cafeteria from 6:00-7:00 pm. Our honors and AP teachers will be on hand to share helpful information about our AP and honors courses in order to help your child make informed choices regarding future coursework and classes for next school year.
And our guest speaker for the evening, Dr. Suzanne McCray (Vice Provost for Enrollment and Dean of Admissions at the University of Arkansas), will provide insight and guidance on the benefits of taking AP and honors courses and how taking those types of courses impacts the college admissions process, options regarding collegiate course selection, and options when selecting majors and degree completion.
This informational meeting will be a great opportunity for you to also ask questions of our AP and honors teachers and to gather the information you need to make informed decisions regarding your child's future academic pursuits and coursework.
