Letter to Parents

April 13, 2020

Dear PGES Parents,

Thanks for your support throughout this time of moving from classroom to online learning. It has been amazing to watch our teachers create the same engaging classroom environment as they have moved from the walls of the classroom to online instruction! I know that you are as impressed with our teachers as I am with all the amazing learning opportunities they are providing our students. This is such an uncertain time, but one thing I do know for certain is that we all love your children SO much! The most important thing to us is to make sure that everyone is doing okay.  As a parent, do the very best you can to continue the learning process with the online resources provided by our teachers, but please do not stress about anything. Do what you can...when you can, and know that it is not the end of the world if you don’t get to everything in one day. Many of you are working from home, while trying to have “school” with your kids. This is already a stressful time for all of us, and we do not want to add to the stress. We have heard from some students that they are having fun with this new online learning process, and there is no greater compliment for a teacher than to hear that “learning is fun.” Grades for the 4th nine weeks and semester will be determined on your child’s 3rd nine weeks grade. Our main focus right now is to continue reaching out to our students and seeing their faces, and letting them know that everything is going to be okay. Please give your child a big hug, and let them know we miss them so very much. We truly value all that you are doing to support us, and do not hesitate to reach out to the teachers if you have any questions. We will get through this together!!! Thanks!

Sincerely,

Becky Ramsey, Principal
