This summer, Prairie Grove students Allison McCoy and Hattie Bohm earned the distinguished honor of attending the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., held June 22–27. Selected from among students across the country, Allison and Hattie proudly represented Prairie Grove in this high-achieving group of future leaders.
The conference recognized their educational accomplishments, strength of character, and leadership potential. As part of the program, they engaged in dynamic studies focusing on U.S. history, the American presidency, and government leadership. Their breakout sessions emphasized essential life and leadership skills including decision-making, communication, collaboration, social awareness, and critical thinking.
Throughout the week, Allison and Hattie had the opportunity to explore our nation’s capital, walking in the footsteps of influential leaders. Their tours included the U.S. Capitol, Mount Vernon, various national memorials, and the Natural History Museum. They also viewed the White House and numerous iconic monuments, bringing their studies to life in a meaningful and memorable way.
Prairie Grove School District is proud to celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of these young leaders and looks forward to the great things they will continue to achieve.
