Important Census Information:

  • Census Day was Wednesday, April 1st.  By this date, every home should have received an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. Respond can be made in one of three ways:  online, by phone, or by mail. When responding to the census, tell the Census Bureau where you live as of April 1, 2020.  Arkansas is currently falling behind the national response rate, and some areas of the state are very far behind. For each person not counted, Arkansas could lose federal funds over the next decade.
  • The 2020 Census helps decide how much money communities will get for schools, child care and early learning, health insurance and medical care, early intervention and home visiting programs, food assistance, foster care, housing assistance, and public transport. It only takes 10 minutes, but it will impact the next 10 years.
  • Take the Census online, with multiple language options. Or call 844-330-2020 to complete the form by phone in English or find other by phone language options here.
